Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Italian Federation of Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sports and the “Manuel Fajardo” University of Physical Education and Sport in Cuba
On April 8, 2025, an official Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Italian Federation of Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sports and the prestigious “Manuel Fajardo” University of Physical Education and Sport in Havana, a Cuban institution widely recognized for excellence in sports and Olympic education. The agreement was signed after a series of productive meetings between the two parties by the Rector of the University, Prof. Silvano Merced, and the Italian Federation of Hand-to-Hand Fighting Sports, marking the beginning of a new phase of international sports cooperation. During the discussions, many shared interests and development opportunities were identified, including the exchange of technical and educational methods, as well as the organization of training camps, seminars, and international events, with the aim of promoting sports culture and physical education as tools for personal and social growth. This agreement represents an important step in building cultural and sporting bridges between Italy and Cuba, strengthening collaboration and international brotherhood through sport. The Federation extends its sincere thanks to the “Manuel Fajardo” University for its openness, shared vision, and commitment to creating synergies that look toward the future of sport on a global level.
